History faculty research and publish in a variety of subfields, including social history, intellectual history, cultural history, borderlands history, history of gender and sexuality, and diplomatic history. Related areas of study combine a Master’s degree in history plus East Asian languages and civilizations (Chinese or Japanese) or Religious Studies, or the Museum and Field Studies Certificate Program.
