TOEFL
TOEFL (computer-based): A minimum score of 237 is required.
?TOEFL iBT: A minimum score of 85 is required (with at least 22 in Speaking and at least 21 in Listening, Reading, and Writing).
IELTS
The School of Music requires a composite band score of at least 7.0 and subscores of at least 6.5 in all four areas of Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading.
GRE
For the Verbal Reasoning section, in the top 10% (90th percentile) is ideal; in the top 20% is good; but scores in the top 40% (60th percentile) might be acceptable
For the Quantitative Reasoning section, in the top 20% (80th percentile) is ideal; in the top 40% is good; but in the top 60% (40th percentile) might be acceptable
For the Analytical Writing section, a 5 is ideal; a 4 is good; and a 3 might be acceptable.

A letter of intent is an essay describing your academic (and possibly your career) background, reasons for seeking graduate school training at this time, and plans for after graduate school.
