PS MRED applicants will submit a video essay. This is an opportunity to tell us more about yourself by answering the following questions in a video format:Tell us about your background and work experience as it relates to your desire to pursue this degree. Why do you want to pursue a degree in real estate? Why are you considering the University of Utah for this degree and what specifically about our MRED program appeals to you?Your video should be a minimum of 45 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes (please note that this is a hard minimum time requirement).Applicants can send a digital file or a link to their video to: MRED-Masters@Eccles.Utah.edu. If a personal situation through the Americans with Disabilities Act precludes an applicant from submitting a video, please contact the Graduate Admissions office for alternate submission options. GPA Applicants must have earned their degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Consideration will be made for applicants meeting this 3.0 GPA over the last 60 hours taken in their undergraduate course work. For international applicants who attended an institution that did not use a 4.0 GPA scale, transcripts will be evaluated by University of Utah International Admissions officers. Your GPA will be converted to a 4.0-scale equivalent after you submit your application. A third-party transcript evaluation is not required. CV Please prepare a business resume that includes your employment history in reverse chronological order, with titles, dates, and whether you worked part-time or full-time. Your educational record should also be in reverse chronological order and should indicate dates of attendance and degree(s) earned. Other information appropriate to a business resume is welcomed and encouraged. The resume should not be more than one page in length (up to 50 lines). Please make sure your resume is updated and specific for this application. Fee When you are ready to submit your application, you will be directed through a payment process. The application fee is $55 for domestic applicants and $65 for international applicants. Payment can be made via credit card or check. Please note that if you choose to pay by check, your application will not be reviewed until the payment is received. RL Two letters of recommendation are required for the application, and it is preferred that both come from professional relationships. At least one should come from a previous or current employer, either from full-time employment or an internship. The title or status of those you select is not necessarily important. What does matter is how closely your letter-writers have worked with you and whether they can attest to your ability to add value to the workplace or professional team environment. The best letters of recommendation will provide insight and specific examples of your potential to succeed in the competitive and challenging environment of a graduate program.(http://eccles.utah.edu/programs/master-of-science-in-information-systems/admissions/admissions-requirements/) Transcript The online application will ask you to list in chronological order all colleges and universities attended, including the University of Utah, regardless of length of attendance. Include each college you have taken courses from, including concurrent enrollment, study abroad, and correspondence courses. You will then be asked to upload an unofficial transcript for each institution of higher education you have listed, regardless of length of attendance. This includes the University of Utah. An unofficial transcript for each institution must be submitted separately, meaning notation of accepted transfer credit does not replace the need for an unofficial transcript from the university from where credits were transferred. Your application will not be considered complete until all unofficial transcripts have been received, so please attach unofficial transcripts for each institution of higher education you have attended before submitting your application. If you are having trouble uploading your transcripts due to file size, please email your documents to MRED-Masters@Eccles.Utah.edu and note that you’re not able to decrease the file size, and our office will assist you. Please note that official transcripts are not required during the application process.
