KU program statement of interest – in less than 500 words, applicants provide information about specific interest in the occupational therapy degree program at the University of Kansas. Unlike the personal/professional statement submitted to the OTCAS, this statement should be specific about the KU program. A text field will be provided for the response in the online application.
GPA
Minimum GPA = 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in cumulative undergraduate course work.
Fee
Begin the application process at OTCAS. OTCAS will require payment of a fee with the total amount due dependent on the total number of schools selected for application. Once all OTCAS materials have been received and verified, applicants will receive email correspondence from KU with instructions to begin the final step of the application. A supplemental KU application fee is required.
RL
Letters of recommendation – three letters of recommendation must be obtained from a professional, advisor, supervisor, pastor, coach or other adult contact that can attest to the applicant’s potential success in the program and future contributions to the occupational therapy profession. At least one recommendation must be from an academic reference.
Transcript
Academic transcripts – an official copy of transcripts from each college and university attended must be submitted for evaluation. International transcript analysis is the responsibility of the applicant and will take additional time to complete the process.
