TOEFL
All international students whose first language is not English, or who have not completed a degree (preferably a four year degree) at an institution where English is the official language of instruction, must submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score. This is a Graduate Studies requirement.
The minimum acceptable TOEFL scores are:
550 (paper based exam)
80 total (IBT or web based exam)
IELTS

GRE
Only the general GRE test (Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical Writing) is required. There are no minimum required scores; the scores are just one factor used to determine admissibility, and will be considered along with GPA, academic background, letters of recommendation, and previous research experience.
To have your GRE scores sent to the Horticulture and Agronomy Graduate Group, select Agronomy (Dept Code 0104), and specify Institution Code 4834 or select U CA Davis. It is recommended that you request ETS to forward your scores electronically to this institution code. Do not select U CA Davis Grad Sch Mgmt.

GPA
Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) on graduation.
CV
CV and/or résumé listing your experience and background in public health.
Fee
A graduate application fee of $105 (U.S. applicants) or $125 (international applicants) is required from all applicants. Applicants who choose to apply to more than one graduate program must pay an application fee for each program. The application fee is not refundable. Instructions for payment will appear when you submit your online application.
RL
Three academic or professional recommendations (in English) are required. Letters of recommendation are submitted electronically through the online application. Letter service letters are not accepted. There are no exceptions to the online submission rule.
Transcript
An official transcript is required from each college-level institution you attended including summer sessions, lower division, and graduate work. You will be instructed to upload scanned copies of your transcripts after you have submitted your online application.
