Civil engineering encompasses several subdisciplines, including hydraulics and hydrology, structural, geotechnical, construction, environmental, civil engineering materials, and transportation engineering.
The degree Master of Science in Engineering is offered with areas of concentration in the areas of Construction, Geotechnical, Hydraulic and Hydrology, Infrastructure System, Materials, and Structural. Degrees designating greater concentration in their special areas are available in the Construction Engineering and Management and Environmental Engineering specialties. This latter group of degrees is designated Master of Science in Engineering (name of specialty).
