The following programs are available: M.A. in Statistics—Mathematical Statistics Specialization, or Applied Statistics Specialization; Ph.D. in Statistics and Applied Probability; and the Ph.D. in Statistics and Applied Probability with an Emphasis in Financial Mathematics and Statistics. Also available are two optional interdisciplinary Ph.D. emphases (Bioengineering and Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences). Specializations are not listed on a student’s transcript or diploma; however, emphases are listed on the transcript.
In addition to departmental requirements, candidates for graduate degrees must meet the university degree requirements described in the Graduate Education section of this catalog.
