PS Please submit a succinct statement describing your motivation for attending the research-driven graduate program in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Kansas. Include a description of your previous research experience (if applicable), research interests, and career goals. EEB is particularly interested in attracting graduate students who have demonstrated initiative in developing research projects or other examples of leadership abilities; it is critical that your statement develops this theme. The statement should be no longer than two pages, single spaced, in 12-point font. The document can be uploaded when submitting the application form. GPA Minimum undergraduate Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4-point scale (for regular admission status) CV Resume/Curriculum Vita: This document can be uploaded when submitting the application form. Fee Application fees must be submitted when completing the form ($65 for domestic; $85 for international). RL Select three qualified individuals for writing a letter of recommendation. In selecting your referees the Admissions Committee finds that the strongest letters of reference come from those who have supervised and have direct experience with your research. Note that letters from prospective KU faculty mentors are considered supplemental to the required three recommendation letters. Transcript One set of academic transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended must be uploaded with the application form. Uploaded transcripts should be scanned versions of official transcripts issued by the institutions attended. Please note that advising forms do not fulfill the transcript requirement. Transcripts in a language other than English must be accompanied by English translations. You may be admitted with the transcript/s you uploaded to the application; however, Graduate Admissions must receive your official, final transcript–sent directly from your institution in a sealed envelope or through an electronic delivery service–before you will be permitted to enroll for your second semester.
