Our M.S. in Security Technologies—which allows students to focus their studies in policy, management, science, or engineering—is designed to prepare engineers, scientists, and other professionals to meet the rapidly growing needs of the security industry. Generating more than $100 billion of annual revenue in the U.S. alone, the need for security professionals who can confront and solve real-world challenges has never been stronger. The M.S. in Security Technologies is:1.Completed with a capstone project, which is an applied learning project that addresses a significant security technologies or homeland security issue.2.Designed in a cohort model, enabling you to see the big picture while specializing in one or more areas.3.Taught by professors who bridge a variety of areas throughout the University of Minnesota, as well as business, industry, and government.4.Fourteen months in length—primarily meeting two nights a week—allowing you to work full-time while completing your advanced degree.
